March’s full moon, the first of the astrological year, goes by the name Worm Moon. For many years, it was thought this name referred to the earthworms that appear as the soil warms in Spring. This invites the birds to fees, a true sign that Spring has arrived.

However, Captain Jonathan Carver visited the Naudowessie (Dakota) and other Native American tribes in the 1760's and wrote that the name Worm Moon refers to a different sort of “worm”, beetle larvae, which begin to emerge from the thawing bark of trees and other winter hideouts at this time.

In astrological terms, the Worm Moon falls on the Full Moon in Libra. This is a time for action, to get things done, to finish what you started and to bring the fire needed to burn through what is standing between you are your goals.

It is a time to identify with what is blocking your path and preventing you from fulfilling your purpose and reaching your dreams.

This full moon will shine a light on the way forward, allowing you to handle the shifts in direction needed to get you to where you want to me. Don't fret, everything happens for a reason and keep your eyes on the bigger picture.

• Now that we are at the start if a new astrological year, what do you want to achieve in the next twelve months?
• What outstanding projects need to be finished or scrapped? Do these projects still hold meaning for you, if not then bin them.
• Which habits, reoccurring patterns and negative mindsets are keeping you from your goals? Get honest about them. How can you make a change within so that you can move forward?
• Each full moon gives us an opportunity to forgive and let go. Look back over the last month or year and see who and what you need to make peace with (including yourself), forgive, let go and move on.

• Trim wick to ¼ inch prior to every lighting. Do not allow wick trimmings to accumulate in wax pool.
• Burn on flat, stable, fireproof surface and always within sight.
• Do not burn for more than 3 hours at a time. The candle container will be hot when  the candle is lit.
• Stop burning the candle when ½ inch of unmelted wax remains.
• Always remove wick debris before relighting, and keep burning wick away from container.
• Keep out of the reach of children and pets.
